Coaching Supports Accessing Tools After coaching sessions on personal budgeting, business budgeting, and financial statements, Coach Andrea asked her client David about his comfort level and about his interest in learning more.  David expressed that he felt confident budgeting and participating more fully in financial meetings.  He also said he wanted to continue learning.

Andrea asked David about his resources for learning.  David figured he could get online and research, and he thought that there were likely books he could buy.  Andrea asked David want training was available through his company, in his area, or online.  David realized that the company did offer to pay for classes and he liked the idea of an online class he could take while at work.  Andrea asked David what tools he wanted to use and then asked how he wanted to use each tool.  David choose his action steps for research online, obtaining books, researching class options, and taking the classes.

At the end of the session, Andrea asked David if he wanted a list of websites and a few books on budgeting and financial statements along with short reviews of the content.  David said yes, and Andrea provided the list.  Andrea supported David’s choices by providing the list of optional resources.
