How many of your clients think of conflict as a dirty word; something to be avoided at all costs? Do you get them over one hump only to find that they are immobilized the next time things get uncomfortable? What about the other end of the spectrum, the clients who were mandated to attend coaching because their brand of conflict leaves collateral damage? Understand the Process: From ICF Core Competencies to the Updated Credential Assessment

Tuesday December 6, 2022
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM New York US and Canada, ET
12:00 AM - 1:00 AM London

Join the ICF Research Community and Joel DiGirolamo for a 60-minute research webinar. In 2017 ICF began a job analysis of professional coaching to determine what updates should be made to the Core Competencies. This project took a "clean slate" approach to understand how coaches currently practice. This lengthy process resulted in an updated set of Core Competencies. From the updated Core Competencies was developed a completely new written credentialing exam, as well as new performance exams for all credential levels. This session will illustrate the elements in this six-year process in addition to the role of professional coaches as subject-matter experts and academic rigor.

Ruth Pearce, ICF ACC designated coach, a Certified Inclusion Coach, a Project Management Institute accredited Project Manager

About the Presenter Ruth Pearce: My purpose is to build engaged teams who will run through walls for each other.

Experience, and evidence, shows that this happens when colleagues feel seen and heard. It happens when they feel that failure is not a dirty word, when they feel safe to challenge the status quo. And it happens when they know their strengths, they are appreciated for their strengths, and they are encouraged to use and grow their strengths in everything that they do. Group coaching creates that space, supported by the experience and training I have in financial services, non-profits, education, and online communities. I am a International Coach Federation ACC designated coach, a Certified Inclusion Coach, a Project Management Institute accredited Project Manager, a trained Economist and a trained Attorney/Mediator. My motto is Be Hopeful, Be Strong, Be Brave, Be Curious - www.projectmotivator.com
