This blog series is her journey through being coached and then earning her coaching certification.

I next attended the coaching practicum portion of coach training for the coaching certification provided by The Center for Coaching Certification. I am extremely excited that I am now a Certified Professional Coach!

In a nut shell, it was action packed, extremely informative and to put it mildly, eye opening. I feel extremely fortunate that I found this organization, Cathy, and have had the honor to experience and learn the curriculum. Without the experiences of the last four years that I have had in corporate and the extensive studiesLearning to Coach through the Center for Coaching Certification - Coaching Practicum I’ve embarked on regarding organizational culture, there is no way I would have understood the extent of the unique value this particular training course provides. I brought this up to Cathy and she stated that other students have said that it is now their secret sauce. Yes, it is in a sense a secret sauce to coaching. I have a secret, too. I got to experience being coached before taking this journey.

Let’s delve more into the concept of Cathy’s secret sauce without giving away the recipe. Yes, it’s a recipe for success. I have been 20 years now working in the sciences in quality assurance for areas such as biotech, medical device, pharmaceutical, invitro diagnostics and blood banking. I specialize in quality systems. Because this is my area of expertise I can say without doubt that Cathy, owner for the Center for Coaching Certification, has an innate understanding related to the value of appropriate systems that ensure success. Appropriate systems ensure that the voice of the client is heard and understood. In the application of solid systems we can ensure the closed loop follow through that is vital to success and moving forward. In this case, it means moving the client forward. Her unique system ensures the client is understood and making progress. More than this, her unique application is geared toward awareness which is helping to gain greater success with coaching.
