Goals that Matter are Gigantic

The G in GOALS = Gigantic

When you retire, what do you want to reflect on having done?  Chances are the answer is not about getting by and paying the bills.  (See the example of what someone might say when asked what they want in the example of the previous blog.)  Think about retired people you know and their successes – what do they value?  Now fast forward for yourself: using the list you created with the questions in the previous blog, you prioritized what is important and what you want.  A business, life, or executive coach will ask you to share what is the reason for your priorities.  Take a few moments and define for yourself how you chose.

Now imagine, years from now as you reflect on your life, what is the impact of your priorities?  How did each one make a difference?  How did your priorities affect other goals in your life?  Consider your life a legacy – what legacy do you want to create and leave?

Consider how the choices you make now define your direction and outcome.  Be intentional with your choices and priorities.  Dream big – set the goals that you really want and that really matter and realize that gigantic goals are achievable.  Review your list of goofy, good, and great goals and reevaluate.  When you are aware of the various angles and considerations, and have fully explored your goals, choose what you want to focus on now.

A business, life, or executive coach recognizes this exploration is a foundation for your next steps – follow this blog and continue the process for setting powerful goals for results.
