Coaching Blog

This is 19 in a series of 24 blog posts on Business and Marketing.

Writing a blog as a coach both provides information to people and increases the visibility of your coaching services website.  Blog sites, such as this one on WordPress, are free.  Each time a blog is posted, key words and a description are included to make it easy for someone to find based on areas of interest.  Additionally, each blog includes links back to relevant locations within your website which supports SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

The ideal is to publish new articles consistently, with a minimum of one a week.  On this site for the Center for Coaching Certification, a new article is published three times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  Blog articles are generally between two and three hundred words.  Use pictures with each article both to add visual interest and gives the eyes a place to rest.

In preparing to start a blog, based on your coaching niche areas, write several blog posts.  With each provide useful information or insights that appeal to the people you serve as a coach.  Sometimes articles are written in a series such as this one and other times the blogs are a single post on a topic.  Choose topic areas for categorizing articles.  Then, when you do start your blog, tie it to your coaching website.
