The coach is being transparent about interrupting and giving the reason.

Coach: Instead of focusing on the past, focus on what you want it to be in the future.
The coach is being transparent in directing focus.

Coach: What do you want?
Client: In what area?
Coach: That is your choice, the question is intentionally wide open because it is up to you.
The coach is transparent in giving the client the choice.

Coach: In that role play, what was I doing? What are the reasons?
The coach is transparent in inviting the client to reflect on techniques used, the reasons, and then opens the door for the client to consider their own application.

In these examples, the coach provides the opening to discuss the techniques used. This helps the client understand what is happening and creates awareness because of the impact of the technique. Additionally the client is now aware of a technique they will want to use them self. The transparency of the coach with techniques serves the client in their thinking and skill development.
