Health Coaching–is it right for you? 3 of 3

Guest Blogger Jessica Daschbach

A Coach, such as myself, assists a client with identifying SMART goals. SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and on a Timetable. The goals and action steps are up to a client, and the coach supports accountability for results. As a Health Coach, I balance the direction of the session by asking exploring questions about your goals and sometimes offer pertinent health information (combining training with coaching when appropriate). As a coach I know what questions to ask and how to ask them. As fitness professional I know what areas to explore further.

Imagine for yourself what it means to have SMART goals, and then achieve the results. To support this process, many people value having before and after pictures, blood chemistry profiles to monitor improvement, tracking their feelings of improved health and wellness, plus reporting successes!

Is Health Coaching right for you? Health Coaching makes sense when you want to create change. Health Coaching is ideal when the process of focusing on specific, measurable goals with accountability and a motivation partner is the difference between struggling and achieving what you want efficiently and effectively.
