In some cases, people can experience positive change as a result of overcoming challenges and crises. What differentiates those who grow and flourish under pressure and challenge, versus those who appear to endure lasting negative consequences of these same experiences? Kenneth Nowack joins the Coaching and Human Capital Community of Practice to discuss the topics of coping and resilience. Ken will share his research that has identified the 12 practices and behaviors that characterize individuals based on facilitating resilience, well-being, and physical health during challenging times. Attendees will learn how to help influence their coaching clients with these practices and behaviors.

Ken Nowack Kenneth M. Nowack, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist and Chief Research office of Envisia Learning, Inc. Dr. Nowack received his doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles and has published extensively in the areas of 360-degree feedback, assessment, health psychology, and behavioral medicine. Ken serves on Daniel Goleman’s Consortium for Research on Emotional Intelligence in Organizations and serves as Editor for the APA journal Consulting Psychology Journal: Practice & Research and is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association (Division 13: Society of Consulting Psychology).

Increasing Coaching Competency Using Ancient Wisdom with Teri Belf

Teri BelfAncient Wisdom found in The Kybalion (Greek and Egyptian hermetic philosophy) contains the spiritual underpinnings of the coaching profession. Exploring and a basic understanding and application of this wisdom has been shown to impact a coach’s level of mastery. This presentation is an overview of the parallels between The Kybalion and coaching, comparing 8 of the principles of The Kybalion with each of the 8 key ICF coaching competencies in spiritually descriptive language. The principles are: Mentalism, Vibration, Cause and Effect, Polarity, Neutralization, Correspondence, Rhythm, and Gender. The presentation includes many real coaching examples and 3 quick exercises to demonstrate the principles. Participants will identify ways to apply the new knowledge gained with clients. Q&A as time permits.

Each Certified Professional Coach tracks their own continuing education clock hours and submits the information for their 12 clock hours every two years.  All ICF programs are accepted.  Additional programs outside of CCC may be eligible - please include a class agenda and proof of satisfactory completion.

The full program fee to earn your Certified Professional Coach designation is $1695. This includes the five webinars and live class required for certification, plus two optional webinars after certification, and access to the Coaches page on this site with tools, session questionnaires, and more. Inclusion in the www.FindaCertifiedCoach.com database is optional.

Cancellation Policy: In the event you must cancel participation, up to seven days prior to the start of the first program webinar you may request a refund of the amount less a twenty percent processing fee; six days or less prior to the start of the first program webinar you may request a refund of fifty percent of the registration. You may transfer your full registration to someone else up to three days prior to the start of the first webinar.
