You\u2019ve completed the first step and found the next thing you want to do in life, and you still may be having some doubts. Convincing ourselves that we can do this next task is one of the biggest challenges of making a career change.<\/p>\n

The average person tends to think of themselves as a statistician, gym teacher, botanist, or whatever. What you do does not define who you are<\/a>. The sooner you accept that fact, the sooner you will realize that you have what it takes to redefine your career.<\/p>\n

By doing something that feels tangible, you\u2019ll convince yourself that it can happen. Are you a nurse that wants to become an event planner? Start saying that to yourself and to the people you meet that work in your new profession. Introduce yourself as a rising event planner.<\/p>\n

Now is the time to step out of your comfort zone. For instance, you can start attending event planning conferences. You will empower yourself by focusing on actions that may resolve your current career discord.<\/p>\n

Identify The Gaps<\/strong><\/p>\n

The next step is to find out what specific actions you can take to land a job. By doing so, you will position yourself for a smooth career change. Your next move may be doing some job shadowing<\/a>, volunteering, or upgrading your skills.<\/p>\n

If you plan on staying in the same industry, going for informational interviews is a good idea. This way, you will acquire relevant information that will be useful for getting a job in your new profession.<\/p>\n

Get Intentional with a Coach <\/strong><\/p>\n

Engaging a certified coach<\/a> who completed training is a smart career move.\u00a0 They will work with you to explore opportunities, strategies, and to place.<\/p>\n
