{"id":8615,"date":"2020-02-24T17:55:13","date_gmt":"2020-02-24T17:55:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.coachcert.com\/coachingblog\/?p=8615"},"modified":"2025-04-09T20:53:53","modified_gmt":"2025-04-09T20:53:53","slug":"icfs-new-code-of-ethics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.coachcert.com\/coachingblog\/icfs-new-code-of-ethics\/","title":{"rendered":"ICF\u2019s New Code of Ethics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In December of 2019, the <a href=\"https:\/\/coachingfederation.org\/credentialing\/coaching-ethics\/icf-code-of-ethics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">International Coaching Federation<\/a> published the new Code of Ethics that then went into effect January 1, 2020.\u00a0 What are the reasons behind the change?\u00a0 Primarily two things: 1. It is a best practice to review and update as appropriate on a regular basis.\u00a0 This leads to what is behind the extent of the changes with the next reason: 2.
