Sometimes when I look at me,
\nI see this person looking back,
\nAnd all that I can think of,
\nIs everything she lacks.<\/p>\n

Her hair is brown and common,
\nHer eyes a bluish green,
\nShe keeps her smile to herself,
\nAs she doesn’t want it seen.<\/p>\n

She’s heavyset and not athletic,
\nHer body not to her liking,
\nBut actually she’s a butterfly,
\nQuite beautiful and striking.<\/p>\n

Breaking through cocoon walls,
\nMade her very strong,
\nShe never knew she had it in her,
\nBut she had it all along.<\/p>\n

Maybe she doesn’t always see,
\nThe beauty from the mirror,
\nBut she sees it in the faces,
\nOf those who really hear.<\/p>\n

When she speaks to give out strength,
\nTo anyone who will listen,
\n“Love yourself and choice by choice,
\nYou too will come to glisten!”<\/p>\n

It’s never all or nothing,
\nIt’s never one last meal,
\nIt’s all about your journey,
\nAnd how you choose to heal.<\/p>\n

Learn to fly with stained glass wings,
\nThat glisten in the sun,
\nThe cocoon is hard to get through,
