We ensure that the client is creating their own path and making decisions based on their values and beliefs (rather than those of the coach).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Powerful questioning is a core competency for professional coaching. An open-ended question invites fuller reflection and expression.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>In order to be a true sounding board we must refrain from expressing our opinions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Becoming well-versed and practicing these strategies in daily life will, in turn, help you acquire the skills to coach.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coachcert.com\/resources\/recommended-reading\/coaching-perspectives-series-by-the-center-for-coaching-certification-and-more.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Coaching Perspectives series<\/a> of books (one is published each year) provide great insights from many different coaches.
