\"7K0A9914\"<\/a>One fun, inexpensive way to further develop coaching competencies is self-directed study.\u00a0 There are a myriad of resources available to support ongoing learning.<\/p>\n

Coaching is the second-fastest growing industry in the world and the number of books on coaching is growing fast too.\u00a0 In this blog we often review books. \u00a0(Please share your reviews of books for publication here too!)\u00a0 For example, recently we reviewed \u201cSeven Steps to Effective Executive Coaching\u201d and found it of definite value for coaches.\u00a0 The Center for Coaching Certification<\/a> publishes one book each year, \u201cCoaching Perspectives\u201d, with chapters written by coaches who have completed the coach training<\/a>.\u00a0 It provides excellent insights and is a powerful tool for self-directed study.<\/p>\n

Blogs abound on the internet and of course offer much in terms of insights and learning.\u00a0 (Yes, we work hard to earn your good opinion with this blog so let us know what you think!)\u00a0 Simply get online and do a search for blogs.\u00a0 When you find insightful posts, make a comment and share the links.<\/p>\n

Articles online and in publications offer a broader perspective on coaching topics.\u00a0 Websites provide excellent content on their pages in addition to articles.\u00a0 The International Coach Federation publishes articles on their website at www.CoachFederation.org<\/a>.\u00a0 The Association of Training Development, ATD, includes coaching as a content area so visit www.TD.org<\/a> for more articles.\u00a0 Of course these are just a few examples from the many organizations engaged in providing information on coaching.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
