{"id":4124,"date":"2013-07-29T06:03:35","date_gmt":"2013-07-29T06:03:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/centerforcoachingcertification.com\/coachingblog\/?p=4124"},"modified":"2022-09-18T18:17:09","modified_gmt":"2022-09-18T18:17:09","slug":"case-study-the-process-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.coachcert.com\/coachingblog\/case-study-the-process-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Case Study: The Process"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\">In this blog series, the case study was set up and is explored in these subsequent posts by considering what happens side-by-side with the <a href=\"https:\/\/coachingfederation.org\/credentials-and-standards\/core-competencies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Core Competencies<\/a>.\u00a0 This is the eighth of the posts and serves to explore some detail in the process.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">In their third coaching session, David asked Marie to review the results of the 360 evaluation which was now complete.\u00a0 Some of the feedback was painful, and David initially challenged its validity.\u00a0 Marie asked simple, open questions to explore further.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Through the probing of his coach, David realized that it was more important to focus on what he wanted moving forward.\u00a0 Specifically, David realized that by developing his own emotional intelligence, EI, he could then improve his relationships.\u00a0 He decided he also wanted to work on his communication skills \u2013 listening, language, and the way he asked questions.\u00a0 David became aware that his own goals in fact aligned with the recommendations from the 360 feedback.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">During the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coachcert.com\/coaching.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">coaching<\/a> relationship, David set specific goals for skills he wanted to develop.\u00a0 He explored his strategy and planned his action steps.\u00a0 Over time David improved his relationships both at work and at home.\u00a0 His team at the company saw the changes and appreciated David\u2019s efforts.\u00a0 David achieved his growth and productivity goals and he gave credit to the team for the results.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In this blog series, the case study was set up and is explored in these subsequent posts by considering what happens side-by-side with the Core &hellip; <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[16,40],"tags":[70,77,48,55,81,80,88,102,84,115,74,82,79,76],"class_list":["post-4124","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-coaching-stories","category-tools-and-techniques","tag-achieve-and-sustain-excellence","tag-client","tag-coach","tag-coaching-services","tag-coaching-success","tag-core-competency","tag-effective-coaching","tag-goal-setting","tag-goals","tag-icf-approved-coach-training","tag-plan","tag-roi","tag-skills","tag-understand","latest_post"],"aioseo_notices":[],"aioseo_head":"\n\t\t<!-- All in One SEO 4.9.8 -
