My Journey through Coaching – Blog 3 of 12<\/p>\n

Part 1: A Reluctant Coaching Client by Brandi Alvarez<\/p>\n

The first full coaching<\/a> session about what I want in all areas of my life continues.\u00a0 The questions just keep coming.\u00a0 What do I want from my career?\u00a0 How do I want to communicate with my husband, my daughter?\u00a0 What are my goals in my relationships?\u00a0 I have always operated under the belief things just fall where they may; now I am seeing people actually work at this, they plan, and they aspire.\u00a0 It makes me question myself. \u00a0Have I been knocked down so many times now that I have hardened to the belief I can have I want, I can achieve success in all areas of my life?<\/p>\n

This session is so long and so specific.\u00a0 Is this realistic?\u00a0 Some of this I just do not see where it is going overall, I feel like I am missing the picture.\u00a0 I am asked how I celebrate success.\u00a0 Do I celebrate it?\u00a0 Or have I always avoided it?\u00a0 I am drained and feeling fragile.\u00a0 How do I even begin to start thinking about achieving goals, focus, and motivation?<\/p>\n

As I sit back and reexamine today\u2019s coaching<\/a> session, I have to wonder how much my emotions of the day affected my answers.\u00a0 Would I sound different if today started off with bad news or would my answers change if I had just accomplished something big?\u00a0 I am still feeling the implications of the question \u201cwhat do I want?\u201d \u00a0It makes me so flustered and it is really challenging to craft your own best story.\u00a0 Some parts of today were difficult to put into words. \u00a0For example, spirituality is not something I would normally talk about with someone I did not know.\u00a0 Honestly none of this is something I talk about.\u00a0 I am not a sharer \u2013 I am a bottler.\u00a0 I did discover that I do want to create something on my own, I am passionate about helping others, and I need to develop self-confidence to know I can get to a place where I am content.\u00a0 It is hard to envision all of this.\u00a0 How do I take this new life \u201cphilosophy\u201d and turn it into action steps, into doing?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
