A website can be free or a website can cost you thousands of dollars.\u00a0 The options are absolutely across the board.\u00a0 Start with making some basic decisions.\u00a0 First, do you have the skill and the time to develop your own website?\u00a0 Second, what is your budget?\u00a0 Third, what do you want to include on your website.<\/p>\n

Explore your options.\u00a0 This blog is on WordPress<\/a> and having it here is free.\u00a0 WordPress has templates you can use and many are free.\u00a0 Some of the templates can be customized.\u00a0 If you have the skill, you can set up your own website.\u00a0 Alternatively, some website designers offer WordPress sites fairly inexpensively.\u00a0 A different option is to select a hosting service such as GoDaddy or HostGator \u2013 there are hundreds of different options.\u00a0 Many hosting services include templates.\u00a0 Alternatively, you can explore either designing a site yourself or hiring someone to do it.\u00a0 On occasion a new coach will ask if it is important to have a website; it is today\u2019s equivalent of being in the phone book and more \u2013 yes, it is important!<\/p>\n

Consider three basic concepts around websites: a brochure website is basically set information people can read.\u00a0 A call to action includes inviting people to act \u2013 sign up for a newsletter or like your FaceBook page or join your group on LinkedIn.\u00a0 An interactive website interacts with people \u2013 such as a quiz where they get feedback on answers or even interacting with you by making comments here on the blog.\u00a0 The more you engage people, the more interest they have in your website.<\/p>\n
