\"strategize<\/a>The S in GOALS = Strategized<\/p>\n

Powerful goal setting for results includes the tips included in this blog series for exploring gigantic goals, the opportunities for success, analyzing the process, listing the steps, and strategizing.\u00a0 Strategizing supports the long-term success.\u00a0 How?\u00a0 In coach training<\/a> programs, the questions coaches learn to ask include exploring how to evaluate progress, adjust, and celebrate success.<\/p>\n

Specifically, in your strategy or with your coach, plan regular intervals to reflect on what is working and is not working.\u00a0 Define this so that you continue doing what does work and plan accordingly to adjust for what doesn\u2019t work.\u00a0 For example, if your action plan included steps to earn a promotion and then you did not get the promotion, explore the reasons.\u00a0 Under \u201cwhat did not work\u201d might be specific tasks you took on to increase your visibility and they turned out to be low-profile.\u00a0 Under \u201cwhat did work\u201d might be skill development that resulted in productivity improvements. By exploring both, you have the knowledge to adjust your plan effectively and continue moving toward your goal.<\/p>\n

Part of strategizing is deciding how you will measure success.\u00a0 When you do achieve the measurement, are you aware of it?\u00a0 Take the time to recognize what you have accomplished!\u00a0 How will you reward yourself?\u00a0 Valuing and respecting yourself through recognizing and rewarding both progress and success supports your long-term motivation and bigger successes.<\/p>\n
