The O in GOALS = Opportunities<\/p>\n

The steps of powerful goal setting for results as described in this blog posts series, or with a business, life, or executive coach<\/a>, the G in GOALS led to creating a list of Gigantic dreams and ideas, and then prioritizing them.\u00a0 Move now to the O which equals Opportunities.<\/p>\n

What are the options for achieving the opportunities and progress towards your goals?\u00a0 An easy place to start is identifying realistic opportunities you have right now.\u00a0 From there move to opportunities that are a stretch.\u00a0 Then explore the ideal\"opportunities\"<\/a> opportunities.<\/p>\n

How does this work?\u00a0 Building from the example from earlier in this series, imagine for a moment the goal is a comfortable income.\u00a0 This was further explored so the amount of income is defined.\u00a0 To reach that income level the opportunities are considered.\u00a0 A realistic opportunity might be a raise in a current job.\u00a0 The stretch may be a promotion.\u00a0 The ideal may be a higher level position within the current company or a different company.\u00a0 Of course for each person what is realistic, a stretch, and an ideal is different \u2013 unique to their circumstances.<\/p>\n
