When you retire, what do you want to reflect on having done?\u00a0 Chances are the answer is not about getting by and paying the bills. \u00a0(See the example of what someone might say when asked what they want in the example of the previous blog.)\u00a0 Think about retired people you know and their successes \u2013 what do they value?\u00a0 Now fast forward for yourself: using the list you created with the questions in the previous blog, you prioritized what is important and what you want.\u00a0 A business, life, or executive coach will ask you to share what is the reason for your priorities.\u00a0 Take a few moments and define for yourself how you chose.<\/p>\n
Now imagine, years from now as you reflect on your life, what is the impact of your priorities?\u00a0 How did each one make a difference?\u00a0 How did your priorities affect other goals in your life?\u00a0 Consider your life a legacy \u2013 what legacy do you want to create and leave?<\/p>\n
Consider how the choices you make now define your direction and outcome.\u00a0 Be intentional with your choices and priorities.\u00a0 Dream big – set the goals that you really want and that really matter and realize that gigantic goals are achievable.\u00a0 Review your list of goofy, good, and great goals and reevaluate.\u00a0 When you are aware of the various angles and considerations, and have fully explored your goals, choose what you want to focus on now.<\/p>\n
