In this blog series we have discussed in depth your considerations when choosing a coach.\u00a0 In the beginning, we started with exploring your reasons for coaching, then determining a coach is the right professional for you and which type of coach you want.\u00a0 The next consideration was the experience, coach training, and skills of prospective coaches. Narrowing your choice of a coach included learning about their process and discovering through an interview your comfort level with them as a coach<\/a>.\u00a0 Additional considerations included availability and coaching fees.<\/p>\n

Take a moment now to reflect on what coaching does for you in your life and\/or career.\u00a0 The International Coach Federation (ICF) has studied this extensively and finds the vast majority of individuals hiring a coach are extremely satisfied with the outcomes.\u00a0 Much research has been done on the Return on Investment, ROI, of coaching<\/a> for the business world.\u00a0 The statistics range from the 570% ROI cited in the Manchester, Inc. study to the 1000% ROI given in the Triad Performance Technologies research.\u00a0 Public Personnel Management cites a 22.4% improvement with training alone and an 88% improvement when coaching is combined with the training.\u00a0 Clearly coaching provides value.<\/p>\n

Finding a coach and investing in the coaching relationship is a choice.\u00a0 To provide you with a resource in making this choice the Center for Coaching Certification has two options: through www.FindaCertifiedCoach.com<\/a> you may request referrals to coaches based on what you want and through www.CenterforCoachingSolutions.com<\/a> there are options ranging from a team of coaches for a number of people to coaches with specific business and executive management expertise.<\/p>\n
