To support value, explore the reasons for the assessment and benefits in advance.\u00a0 Some employers want assessments used \u2013 do discuss whether the employer receives a copy.\u00a0 Pre and post coaching assessment can be helpful to measure ROI.\u00a0 If an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coachcert.com\/resources\/assessments\/assessments-24-7.htmlhttps:\/\/www.coachcert.com\/resources\/assessments\/assessments-24-7.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">assessment<\/a> is used with a private client, it is because it serves the client.\u00a0 Consider the reasons for using an assessment, the pros, and the cons before deciding on one.<\/p>\n<p>Assessment Pros:<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Validated instrument providing a depth of information.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Creates awareness of self and the possible perceptions of others.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Understanding of what is behind behaviors or interactions.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A common language for exploration.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A way to highlight and maximize strengths.<\/p>\n<p>Assessment Cons:<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It may feel like someone is put in a box.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It becomes an excuse for behaviors.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It may carry assumptions that a person is always a certain way.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It may limit recognizing when people are in a different place because of circumstances or the topic.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Some clients may focus only on the negative.<\/p>\n<p>Different assessments serve different purposes \u2013 following are a few examples:<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coachcert.com\/resources\/assessments\/disc-daily.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DISC<\/a> \u2013 assesses behavior and ability to avoid blind spots associated with situational bias by assessing critical thinking, judgment, and decision making.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Emotional Intelligence \u2013 helps users understand the correlation between the way they<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 apply their current EIQ and the outcome of their interactions with others.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Learning Styles \u2013 understanding learning styles offers the key to maximizing training efficiencies, enlightening management teams, and even assembling top performing teams.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.assessments24x7.com\/assessments\/360\/leadership-effectiveness\" target=\"_blank\"
