that).\u00a0 What is behind the fear of selling?\u00a0 They feel selling is pushy and obnoxious.\u00a0 They are afraid of what will happen.\u00a0 They want to coach instead because they want to help style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The challenge, of course, is that to help people means being available and that involves selling.\u00a0 What is selling?\u00a0 Selling is offering something of value for money.\u00a0 Is there a different way?\u00a0 Yes!\u00a0 Stop Selling and Start Coaching!<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Start by focusing on your love of Coaching.\u00a0 LOVE = Listen, Outline, Value, Explore.\u00a0 <strong><u>L<\/u><\/strong>isten to what people want, help them <strong><u>o<\/u><\/strong>utline the options for accomplishing it (including coaching), ask them to define the <strong><u>v<\/u><\/strong>alue of their success, and <strong><u>e<\/u><\/strong>xplore which option they want to choose.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong><u>L<\/u><\/strong>isten<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How is selling different from coaching?\u00a0 Selling is perceived as telling.\u00a0 Coaching is asking.\u00a0 Instead of telling someone about coaching, that they will benefit, and that they \u201cshould\u201d do it, focus on asking them about resources for moving forward, asking how coaching will serve them, and asking them what they want.\u00a0 Listen to their answers!<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong><u>O<\/u><\/strong>utline<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How will you create the shift from selling to coaching?\u00a0 Use your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coachcert.com\/training.html\">coach training<\/a> and follow the coaching process.\u00a0 Be a partner while someone considers the possibility of coaching and hold the space for them to make their own choice.\u00a0Partner with them to outline their options plus the pros and cons of each.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong><u>V<\/u><\/strong>alue<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Using coaching, ask them what it means to them to achieve their goals.\u00a0 Ask them to consider the value of their success.\u00a0 Ask them the value of having a coach to support them on their journey.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong><u>E<\/u><\/strong>xplore<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Partner with them to list their ideas for how to move forward, the reasons for or against each, and then ask them what they choose.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How does coaching instead of selling increase your coaching business?\u00a0 Coaching someone as they explore the option of a coaching relationship models the service you offer.\u00a0 Coaching instead of selling creates a safe space and whatever someone decides is okay.\u00a0 This increases the probability of them being comfortable choosing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coach-123.com\/coaching-services\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">coaching<\/a>.\u00a0 This also means that even if they decide not to pursue coaching, they will be comfortable referring others.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stop Selling and Start
